Video: Mini book

Book

This one is really amazing, a small book of 3 pages (plus 2) made of one square paper. The video and the image are by Mark Roberts, the same who made the amazing intersecting tetrahaedra video. I couldn’t find any paper that was colored on one side and white on the other, so mine is just a small white book… wasn’t worth a picture. Now you can become a self publishing writer! And here are the diagrams.

why did you post a video that’s not your own?

Because, as I already said, I couldn’t find a paper that was colored on one side and white on the other (read: I was lazy), mine is a white book with white papers. The colored side makes the outside of the book and the white side makes the papers inside. This video shows exactly what I would have done (except I would have done it from another point of view). Why make a new video when a perfectly acceptable video already exists. Besides I’ve been waiting already too long to post this thing.

how do you determine the size of the fold at -3:34? My pages became way bigger than the cover.
    BTW, what’s the song’s name?

I believe the size of the fold will be the height of your pages later. As this is not my video I don’t know the song’s name, maybe searching by lyrics will give you something.

too hard to understand… its not like in the diagram… in the 1.step 4th.picture(diagram) he should fold in 6 sections not?

@O_o: on the 4th-5th picture the paper is divided in 8 in one way and 6 in the other.
