After a long time of absence, again, I’m hereby presenting another six pointed star. This is a modular composed of 12 pieces, very easy to fold, but a bit frustrating to assemble. When connecting the last module to the first I didn’t bother locking them because I would have torn the whole thing apart and it was sturdy enough as it was. A stellar origami by Carmen Sprung.
Diagrams over here and video after the break as usual.
For those who wish to know what “Mennorode” stands for: it’s a place where the Origami SociĆ«teit Nederland members meet annually.

Niice!! Thank you!! Can you make a video on how to make a stellated icosahedron? Here is the diagrams for the module, but i can’t figure out to assemble it. http://www.geocities.com/mmukhopadhyay/creation/isos.html
You don’t have to, just if you don’t have plans for what to make in your next video. Marry Christmas by the way:D
Excellent idea. I almost never have any idea of my next origami before I start making it. I’ll get right on it.
ok:D thank you very much! I think you can expand the model 2.
wow! this stuff is awsome!! i can’t believe u made them all….i tried making a pinwheel once….didn’t work so well…eh heh heh. anyway, u r really awsome (once again) btw, the diagram instructions don’t work… could u just put them onto ur website?
u r awsome! but the diagrams don’t work. Can u plz post them on the site?
The diagrams are in pdf format, I host the file so it should work (worked for me anyway). You can view pdf files with Adobe Reader (free).
I am an 11 year old boy who extremely loves origami, specially when they are modular and complex. I have learned
cubes, stars(including the omega star),animals, modular origami, and money origami. I am wanting to know how to make a 30 unit dodecegahedron (if thats how you spell it). Please make a video showing how to make one. I never knew how to make one.
I was six years old when I started making origami. The first figure I made was an origami balloon which seems simple.Today I am more into kawasaki roses, omega stars,
masks, boxes, and modular figures.
Is that what you’re looking for http://www.origaminut.com/2007/10/14/dodecahedron/ ?
Thank you very much! I really like it!
What I was expecting was a closed dodecahedron. One that you cant put your hand in.
I was having trouble assembling the 6 parts as whole but your video made it a bit easier. It’s a little to fast for me to follow though.
When will they post a video showing how to make an origami rose?Well yaa I know how to make them but it makes this place a better web site.I am not saying this website is cheap, infact, it is one of my favorite web sites, because I have someone to talk to which is Karl(my #1 Fan)and I learn origami.
@Alejandro
I’m not entirely sure what you want… me to do an origami rose? If you have a request you’ll be better off sending me an email at nut.origami[at]gmail.com, this way I’ll get to it much quicker.
If my request caused you trouble, its ok to ignore it,sorry if it did.:|
No it didn’t, I’m just saying that if you have a request send an e-mail, comments are more for feedback.
ok, fine.
how do you esemble the six parts?
I cant get the little slits
do you have to cut it? whenever i click on the diagrmas link, my computer freezes, either that, or the window pops up, but it never finishes loading. that made me sad…
@ Alejandro
yes, i very much agree.an origami rose would make this website even more popular than it is already. so, karl, do you think you can do it?
my email is
