A modular origami which lets you make a cube, an octahedron, an icosahedron and so on, made by Stephan T. Lavavej. The module used is a variant of the sonobe module, it’s really easy to make, but the icosahedron is a bit tricky to assemble. I used 10cm square paper and it’s quite sturdy.
Diagrams here and the video and a few images after the break.

Yeah I love the sonobe module, but have you ever made a star using those modules? This one http://hektor.umcs.lublin.pl/~mikosmul/origami/spiked-pentakisdodecahedron-sonobe.jpg
I can’t figure out how to fold them, so they can make like a spiky point. Nice video, and the choice of colors were fantastic

@*_*: If you look at the website where the diagrams are you can see the Epcot ball (about 200 pieces). I don’t have the patience to do that though. Just experiment.
Thx! I made the octahedron, icosahedron… the epcot ball is too time comsuming
for the star thing out of sonobe modules, you are suppose to put together 2 modules(not 3), then put the 2-module pieces together
P.S. would need 60 modules for the star
