This is another approach to paper torture, it’s called kirigami and consists of folding a piece of paper, cutting it and unfolding. Kirigami isn’t very difficult if you plan it.
The most difficult part is really the design you want to make and the visualization of the final result before you start cutting. One single wrong cut can ruin the whole thing.
On the pictures you can see some examples of what can be done with kirigami. Typically this technique is used in children’s books where the houses, castles, or forests pop out.
