Origami videos only with permission from now on

I’ve been told more than once that I should ask for the author’s permission before making an origami video, and that’s what I’m going to do from now on. Also I credited wrongly some of the models, my apologies, I corrected them, if you find any other issues let me know.

Comments not working

Sorry for the comments not appearing, I first thought the site was deserted, but then I saw there was a 50 comment queue… I have to moderate to keep things clean and feedback constructive, so everything is fine now. And I’ll repeat it again: requests by email.

New template

I’ve been working on this new site design for a while now, I hope you like it. I took several sites and combined them together to get the best result, I also kept the color palette of the old template. Any comments or feedback would be greatly appreciated.

New host

I changed my web host, I hope it went smoothly as I fiddled with some settings that weren’t meant to be fiddled with and the site was shown completely wrong for a while. I’ve made some minor changes and will continue to improve the site little by little as time/motivation allows. If any problems arise please contact me and I’ll fix it as soon as possible.

Something went wrong

Something went very wrong in the lase 5 hours while I was sleeping, the site was redirected to somewhere where it wasn’t supposed to. I fixed the thing as soon as possible. Expect new origamis soon.

Miscellaneous content

Because of my lack of time (studies mostly) the site seems to become one of those abandoned blogs, I’m considering posting more about paper craft related stuff that is not my own and thus without videos. I’ll try to pick quality stuff and as long as there’s some content to view I think nobody will complain.

New categories

Categories

I finally categorized the origamis by difficulty from simple to hard passing by intermediate. I had previously thought about it, but couldn’t find a synonym for “easy” so that the categories would be shown alphabetically in order. Now you can start with simple models and get some experience before attacking the more difficult ones.

On the picture the ones in the front are simple, back left are intermediate and on the right are the difficult ones. Unfortunately the prettiest are also the most difficult to make.

These holidays…

I’m afraid another huge gap coming up with the holidays. The camera went away again, so no videos until next year, but I’ll do some that are easier to make, without videos and post the diagrams (the cellphone camera is decent enough). Now try to not succumb in the awful consumerism that these holidays bring along, make an origami and wrap it in another. Happy holidays!

A huge gap

I’m currently extremely busy so I can’t update the site often. I’ve been working on my end-of-college project and the deadline is next Monday. After that the updates should become more regular again. A new modular is already in the works.

Which camera?

I seem to be lacking any useful cameras to shoot my first origami. Of the 5 options only one is up to this task, but it has to go on a 3 day holiday, the next one doesn’t work, my cellphone camera and the webcam are out of the question and iSight is attached to my MacBook. So I guess I’ll wait 3 days.
